Apple’s iconic Think Different ad celebrated the crazy ones among us, proclaiming that “the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who do”.
At the very least, being crazy means that you’re busy living. Your brain is firing synapses, your imagination is soaring, and while everyone else thinks you’re not thinking straight, in your heart and mind you have perfect clarity of what could be. And in the time it takes for others to catch up, you’re already dreaming of tomorrow.
I wouldn’t want it any other way.
And neither did Roald Dahl, who used his story of Matilda to praise the irrational and unbalanced, the totally unreasonable and incredibly unhinged. The crazy ones.
