The history of the world on display at The British Museum

The British Museum is the world’s oldest national public museum, and you only have to spend five minutes browsing the thousands of artifacts to realise that this place is a time capsule of the history of human civilisation as we know it. The museum houses collections from all four corners of the globe, across every one of history’s major cultural communities, including everything from artwork and handmade clothing to coins, clocks and weaponry. It’s a remarkable amount of information to process under one roof and way too much for a single visit.
